GREAT BUSINESS BUILDING IDEAS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (GBBIDP)

(Entrepreneurship Training and Practicing Program)

  • What is the Great Business Building Ideas Development Program (GBBIDP)?
  • Great Business Building Ideas Development Program (GBBIDP), is a program being implemented by Udzungwa Mountains College Students Club of Entrepreneurship (UMCSCE), with the objective of empowering, motivating, inspiring, and strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit of young entrepreneurs of Tanzania, particularly college student entrepreneurs by providing them with strong and wonderful business ideas and start-ups firms with risk grants, thereby, enabling them to either start or upgrade a business. It is UMCSCE and UMCTO campaign of Great Business Building Ideas Development Program, consisting of entrepreneurship ideas, startups funding, college student entrepreneurs, successful business plan, small businesses, business diagnostic program, aftercare service (ACS), and other social enterprise initiatives. 
  1. The Successful Business Plan Program Competition (SBPPC)
  • The Successful Business Plan Program Competition (SBPPC) entails the conducting of competition on successful business plans based on entrepreneurial ideas/ concepts proposed by participating college student entrepreneurs. Initially, the program provides some entrepreneurship training, on the basis of which college student participants are required to come up with implementable strong and bright business ideas or entrepreneurial ideas. It is from these great and bright ideas that they prepare their business plans which are subjected to competition in order to get the best selected and winning successful business plans. There are successive stages of Awards Competition and before each stage commences, a training seminar is conducted, after which college student participants are left for a specific period to prepare and submit their plans for evaluation. Awards range from the lowest Tshs 3,000,000/- to the best 10 winners Tshs 6,000,000/-

 

  1. The Successful Business Diagnostic Program (SBDP)
  • The SBDP entails the conducting of entrepreneurship training to entrepreneurs, mostly from the informal sector, who are required to implement the starting up and registering of businesses as they learn the skills, and as they graduate during the training process. The (SBDP) has successive practical stages, through which a participant must graduate, in order to attain all the skills required, for one to become an entrepreneur and a practicing business person. An award of 2,000,000/- is given to each winner at each stage. The good thing with this project program is that one trains by doing, and at the end of the training program each participant finds himself or herself owning a business. Great Business Building Ideas Development Program (GBBIDP) is inviting new partners and sponsors interested in the development of strong and bright business ideas in supporting and empowering entrepreneurial activity in Tanzania who are willing to make a contribution to it. 
  1. College Students Entrepreneurship Funds (CSEF)
  • College Students Entrepreneurship Funds (CSEF) are the funds generated and financed by Udzungwa Mountains College Students Club of Entrepreneurship (UMCSCE) through its forum events and supported by the funds from the management and staff of the Udzungwa Mountains College Trust (UMCTO) are channeled to the Udzungwa Mountains College Trust Foundation towards financing and empowering its other social enterprise initiatives which provides small start-up funding for our college students who are entrepreneurs (Those college students who own and operate a business while attending college) and other small businesses and start-ups for small entrepreneurs, new and well – established entrepreneurs who already had some success under their belts with their small business and just needed help in taking it to the next level. Family members, college students, guardians, parents, friends and relatives, financial Institutions, organizations, the business community, highly successful entrepreneurs, sponsors, and the general public at large who would like to donate and support our efforts in promoting and empowering entrepreneurship to our college students at the community at large, could use our college bank facilities as being indicated below;

  • The objective of aftercare service (ACP) is to build on the success of other social enterprise initiatives under the strong and powerful leadership and supervision of UMCSCE which provides small start-up funding for our college student entrepreneurs who own and operate a business while attending college) and other small businesses and start-ups for small entrepreneurs, new and well-established entrepreneurs who already had some success under their belts with their small businesses and just needed help in taking it to the next level.
